We’re wrapping up the regular season and looking towards the playoffs . . .
Boys Tennis finished the EIL regular season with a thrilling 3-2 win over Portsmouth Abbey on Monday and completed the year as runners-up in the league. Their impressive 11-2 mark earned the Warriors the #4 seed in the NEPSAC Class C Tournament and they will host #5 Pingree School on Saturday at 1pm at Centre Court in East Providence. Should the team win, they play top-seeded Concord Academy at 4pm. The championship would then be at an indoor facility on Sunday in the Boston area.
Boys Lacrosse finished the EIL season in second place after beating Bancroft 17-11 on Monday. The Warriors will host the winner of Chapel Hill-Chauncey Hall and Beaver Country Day in the Al Brown Cup Championship on Wednesday, May 21, at the farm.
Track and Field is preparing for the New England Division III Championships at Regis College after hosting the EIL Championships last weekend. The team finished in third place in both the girls and boys divisions, and the Warriors featured individual champion performances from Autumn Allen ’27, Tomi Olubowale ’25, Maddie Bryan ’28, Anaya Wilson ’26, and Leo Blachly-Preston ’26.
Baseball finished their EIL campaign in fifth place and narrowly missed the playoffs. The Warriors earned a 7th seed in the New England Small School Baseball Championships (Dickinson Division) and are playing second seed Harvey School on Monday at a site to be determined. The team lost 1-0 last year in the quarterfinals to the Cavaliers in an incredible pitching duel!
Girls Lacrosse takes on Newton Country Day this afternoon in Newton and, with a win, they will punch their ticket to the EIL playoffs on Saturday at Dana Hall. A loss would force a three-way tie-breaker between Newton Country Day, Wheeler, and Portsmouth Abbey. The bracket is already set for the Warriors and their defense of the McCoy Cup (The New England Small School Lacrosse Championship). The Warriors will host King School (Stamford, CT) at 4:30pm on Monday at the farm. If they win, the team will host the winner of Berwick Academy and Austin Prep on Wednesday at 6:30pm.
Girls Tennis took down Portsmouth Abbey on Monday, 3-2, and closes their EIL season today at Newton Country Day. The season saw a lot of progress for the young Warriors, who have a bright future ahead!
Sailing will participate in the Friday Night Lights Regattas this coming Friday at Sail Newport. Be sure to check out YOUR Warriors!
Softball had an impressive showing on Wednesday when they narrowly lost to Lexington Christian Academy 14-10. Although the team will not qualify for the EIL playoffs, they will close out their season with an away game on Monday at Winsor School.
