Boys Lacrosse continued their winning ways with a pair of impressive non-league wins over the last week against Chapel Hill-Chauncy Hall (8-7) and Rocky Hill (11-5). The team is now 6-1 overall and hosts two games in the next three days with East Providence and Landmark School coming to the farm.
Track and Field hosted an enormous and energy-filled meet at Wheeler Farm on Wednesday. The following schools made their way to join the Warriors in Seekonk: Mt. Sailing took first place this past Friday at the Newport Regatta to begin the competition season on a strong note! Rounding out the top five on the afternoon were (2) Portsmouth HS, (3) East Greenwich HS, (4) Moses Brown, and (5) Prout School. The Warriors return to action this Friday at Sail Newport.
Baseball dropped a pair of league games over the last week (Pingree and Portsmouth Abbey), but also captured a non-league win (Boston Trinity). The team is scheduled to play a former RIIL foe (Tolman) in another non-league game on Saturday morning at the farm. First pitch is scheduled for 11am.
After posting an impressive 19-12 win at Portsmouth Abbey last week, the Warriors’ Girls Lacrosse team dropped a 22-10 contest on Wednesday against a talented Winsor team. The team is preparing for a busy week of games next week with matchups against Worcester (Monday), Concord (Wednesday), and Berwick (Saturday).
Girls Tennis battled against EIL teams Pingree and Beaver Country Day over the last week, ultimately falling 4-1 and 3-2, respectively. The team has a brief lull in the schedule as they prepare for a competitive week of matches next week against Dexter Southfield (Monday), Newton Country Day (Friday), and Berwick (Saturday).
Softball has had a busy week of action with three league games since last Friday. The team fell to Beaver Country Day, Portsmouth Abbey, and reigning EIL Champions, Newton Country Day, over the stretch, but the Warriors’ competitive spirit was on full display with quality offensive outputs against Beaver and Abbey. Next week, the Warriors hit the road with games at Mt. St. Charles (Monday), Concord (Wednesday), and Winsor (Friday).
Boys Tennis captured a trio of wins over the last week. With wins over Pingree (3-2) and Beaver Country Day (4-1), the Warriors moved to 3-1 in league play with two matches remaining. With a 7-0 win over St. Andrew’s on Wednesday, the Warriors are 6-2 overall in NEPSAC play, with matches remaining against Dexter Southfield, Gann, Berwick, and Portsmouth Abbey, before they hope to earn their third straight NEPSAC Class C Tournament selection.
