The Boys and Girls Indoor Track teams competed at the East coast Invitational on Saturday. Autumn Allen ’27 placed second overall in the long jump, breaking her own school record with a jump of 17’11. Zoey Frank ’26 and Charlie Philbrick ’28 ran PR’s in the mile, and Astrid Smagula ’26 and Jackie Sousa ’28 both threw PR’s in the shot. On Sunday, our pole vaulters, Maddie Bryan ’28 and Parker Goldman ’27, competed at Harvard. Both jumped PR’s to break their newly established school records!
Girls Basketball and Boys Basketball dropped games against visiting Berwick Academy last Friday. The boys’ team returns to action with two home games this weekend. The first is Senior Night versus Landmark School at Wheeler Farm. The team will honor Avery Johnson ’25, EJ Carvalho ’25, Seamus Counihan ’25, Mason Cocks ’25, Miles Green ’25, and Krish Devkota ’25. The Warriors will then host Barrington High School on Saturday afternoon in Madden Gym as part of the Basketball Club Rhode Island in-season tournament. The girls’ team begins a three-game homestand when they host Rocky Hill Country Day on Tuesday at 5:30pm at Madden. Their next two games will be Dana Hall School (Friday at the farm) and the Pawtucket co-op team on Saturday in Madden.
Squash heads into a two-match week on Monday, when the team travels to Portsmouth Abbey for a 4:30pm match, and then the Warriors will host Concord Academy on Friday, Jan. 31 at Agawam Country Club.
Swimming hosted a wonderful EIL quad meet just before the exam break. The event featured two wins and zero losses for the boys’ team against Bancroft School and Berwick Academy, as well as a two-win, one-loss effort for the girls’ team with wins over Bancroft and Berwick, and a hard-fought loss to Dana Hall School. The Warriors head to Worcester Academy on Saturday to take on the Hilltoppers in a non-league matchup. The meet is scheduled for 1pm.
Wrestling returns to action this weekend with a quad meet at Landmark School. The Warriors will take on the host school, Hyde School, Marianapolis Prep, and Thayer Academy.
