Girls Basketball lost a pair of games over the last week to two of NEPSAC’s strongest teams from a year ago -- Vermont Academy (Class D finalist) and Beaver Country Day (reigning EIL champions and Class B finalist). The team travels to Bath, Maine this weekend to take part in the 33rd annual James Roman Tournament at the Hyde School. They take on the hosts at 4pm Friday and then the team will play Kents Hill School or The Academy at Penguin Hall on Saturday.
Boys Basketball dropped a NEPSAC Class C game at Hamden Hall over the weekend, 73-66. The Warriors, down 16 in the second half, fought hard and cut the deficit to four with 90 seconds to play but ultimately fell short. The team (1-1) travels to Danbury, CT on Friday for two games -- the first against Wooster School on Friday and the second on Saturday versus Forman School.
Squash moved to 2-0 on the season with a 5-2 win at St. Andrew’s on Wednesday. The Warriors head to St. George’s next Wednesday to take on the Dragons before departing for Winter Break.
Swimming traveled to Phillips Academy Andover on Sunday and enjoyed a wonderful start to their season against some of the best swimmers in the NEPSAC. The team heads into their first dual meet of the season on Friday when they host Austin Prep at Pods Aquatic Center. The event starts at 4:30pm.
The Indoor Track team started its season this week with meets at the PCTA in Providence. Sam Bohlen ’27 threw a 6-foot personal record in the shot at 35-feet, 6-inches.
Wrestling heads back to the mat with a meet next Wednesday at Chapel Hill-Chauncy Hall where they will compete in a tri-meet against the hosts and Eagle Hill School.
