Track and Field competed at the NEPSTA Division III Championships last weekend at Marianapolis. It was a very successful culmination to a season full of personal and team successes with Alex Kittredge ’26 placing second in the 1500m, Maddie Bryan ’28 finishing second in pole vault, Autumn Allen ’27 earning second in the long jump and fifth in the 400m, Anaya Wilson ’26 placing third in the discus and fourth in shot put, Leo Blachly-Preston ’26 finishing second in the 1500m, Parker Goldman ’27 coming in third in pole vault, and Hoyt Hottel ’28 earning fourth in the high jump.
Boys Tennis fell to Beaver Country Day in the NEPSAC Class C Quarterfinals over the weekend 4-2 in a match that took close to four hours! It was an incredible fight from the Warriors who showed their grit all morning and into the early afternoon.
Girls Lacrosse took a late season win streak into the McCoy Cup B Division Championships this past week. They earned a road win at Rocky Hill in the semifinals and fell 15-11 to Beaver Country Day yesterday. The appearance in the championship marked their third straight and was a nice exclamation point to a season that saw quite a bit of personal and collective growth!
Boys Lacrosse earned a bid to the Al Brown Cup after a third place finish in the EIL. Unfortunately, the Warriors fell short in the semifinal round with a road loss to Chapel Hill-Chauncy Hall, 11-9. After a season that saw 12 seniors move on, the Warriors filled their absence with passion and turned what was supposed to be a “rebuilding year” into their third straight winning season.
Baseball fell in the opening round of the NEPSAC Small School Championships, losing to Marianapolis. Playing for first-year head coach, Charlie Gomez, the Warriors have an enormous upside looking ahead to the next baseball season.
The Upper School Spring Awards Night is May 26 in Isenberg Auditorium. There will be light refreshments beginning at 5:30pm, and the ceremony will start promptly at 6pm.
