The Warriors Track team hosted their second consecutive meet of the season and saw favorable results for the girls and boys! Prior to the meet, the team celebrated their seniors with a ceremony and some kind words from underclassmen and Coach Molloy!
Softball fell to Barrington High School in a high scoring non-league affair, 18-15. The Warriors were led by strong efforts at the plate by Claire Kiley ’26, Charlie Woodcome ’26, Isabela Tineo ’27, and Anna Cherepowich ’26. Annalise Hait ’26 and Noelle Charlton ’29 also performed well on the mound, and Clara Collard ’28, Kiley, Woodcome, and Veera Kumar ’29 made impressive plays in the field. The team travels with Girls Tennis and Girls Lacrosse on Friday when all teams play Dana Hall.
Baseball won their second game in a row on Wednesday when they defeated Lexington Christian Academy 12-5. Previously, they had defeated fellow EIL member Landmark on Friday, 19-8. Against LCA, the Warriors scattered seven hits and pushed ahead with a five-run 6th inning to close out the visitors. Conrad Fox ’27 led the Warriors with two hits, Jake Charlton ’26 and Jack Himelfarb ’26 stole three bases each, and Charlton, Xavier Bain ’28, and Brooks Kay ’28 each had two RBI’s. Next up for the Warriors is Mount St. Charles in a road matchup this Monday, April 20.
Girls Lacrosse dropped a pair of home games over the last week to Beaver Country Day (12-7) and Mt. St. Charles (16-11). The Warriors take on Dana Hall Friday at 4:30pm on the road.
Sailing heads to Sail Newport this weekend for the season’s first regatta. Start time is 4:30pm if you want to stop by and cheer on the Warriors!
Boys Tennis is working through the most challenging part of their schedule with matches against Concord Academy (reigning EIL Champion), as well as Class B NEPSAC championship contenders, St. George’s and Pomfret. Unfortunately, the Warriors dropped all three matches but look to return to the win column when they host Mt. St. Charles Academy and Marianapolis next week.
