Winter Tournament Recap
Girls Basketball reached the NEPSAC Class C Championship, where the shorthanded Warriors fell to Berwick Academy. The championship was the culmination of the Warriors’ first appearance in the NEPSAC tournament since the 1998 season, when they were led by Wheeler Athletics Hall-of-Fame inductee Lissa Eagles ‘98. Ashna Jayaraman ‘29 and Danielle Davidson ‘30 were named EIL All-League for this past season, while Isabela Tineo ‘27 and Destiny Davidson ‘30 received EIL Honorable Mention All-League. The Boys and Girls Swimming teams finished in third place at the NEPSAC Division III Swim Championships. The team featured more gold medal winners than any other school at the competition. A complete list of those award winners will be posted on social media on April 1.

Spring Sports
Despite the snow and the rain, spring sports are officially underway! Boys and Girls Lacrosse have taken to the turf. The boys will open with a scrimmage on Monday, March 30 against Scituate High School. The girls are slated to open the season a week later with a non-league game against Montrose School.
Baseball and Softball are waiting for the clay to be ready, but they’ve ventured out to the grass on their respective fields, found some time indoors for fielding, and taken some swings in the batting cages. Baseball will open up on April 8 against Bancroft School, and Softball starts the year against Boston Trinity on April 13.
Boys and Girls Tennis are also in full swing. The Warriors girls’ squad has an early contest slated for March 31 at Beaver Country Day, and the boys travel to Bancroft on April 8 for their opener.
Track and Field has hit the ground running with a substantial portion of its roster using the indoor season to prepare for the spring. The Warriors are slated to host an opening meet with various schools on April 8 as part of the Wheeler Invitational.
Sailing will hit the water next week at Battleship Cove as they prepare for a full schedule of Friday Night Lights regattas in Newport in April and May!
