Wrestling posted three finalists with incredible individual performances at the EIL Championships last weekend. Jack Morris ’28 (150lbs.) and Ryan Kittredge ’28 (113lbs.) both captured championships, and Joe Chivers ’28 (138lbs.) medaled with a second-place finish. Morris was also named Outstanding Wrestler of the Tournament. Several members of the team will travel to Greens Farms Academy this weekend to compete in the NEPSAC Championships. Good luck, Warriors!
Swim defeated St. George’s in non-league contests on Wednesday, winning the girls (93-60) and boys (93-79) meets. The win marks the Warriors’ first win against the Dragons since the program’s creation in 2013. Next up, the Swim squads are training for the EIL Championships at Roger Williams University on Feb. 22 and the NEPSAC Division III Championship at WPI on Saturday, March 7.
Squash celebrated its Senior Day on Wednesday with a win over St. Andrew’s. Warrior seniors who were honored include Calder Smith-Montross ’26, Peter Kennedy ’26, Charlie Dal Bó ’26, George Karonis ’26, Miles Harrison ’26, Oscar Lutes ’26, Gunnar Eggertsson ’26, and Griffin Imbier-Maher ’26. The team travels to Concord Academy next Wednesday for a match.
Girls Basketball picked up its fourth consecutive win on the road at Portsmouth Abbey on Wednesday, pushing its EIL record to 4-2 and 7-4 overall. The team also grabbed wins over Winsor, Landmark, and St. Thomas More during the stretch. Overall, the team features a balanced scoring attack with hard-nosed defense, making them fun to watch! Their next game is Senior Night on Friday in Madden Gym against Lexington Christian Academy. Come cheer on Aleecya Smith ‘26 and the Warriors!
Boys Basketball defeated Pingree on Monday at home, 72-66, and followed up with another win on Tuesday against Mt. St. Charles. The Warriors travel to Lexington Christian on Friday for a game against the two-time defending EIL Champions and first-place Lions. They return home to take on Bancroft next Wednesday. Meanwhile, several members of the basketball team, along with Coach Ben Silvia, had an impromptu clinic for some Lower Schoolers in the gym on Thursday. The student-athletes partaking in the clinic were Max Ramos '27, Javius Hunt '27, Des Martin '27, Drew Herren '28, and Nathan Tyrrell '28.
