Swim took home a pair of wins for both the boys' and girls' squads last Friday when they knocked off visiting Dexter-Southfield School. The team returns to action at Dana Hall tomorrow, where they will compete against the Dragons and the Berwick Bulldogs.
The Indoor Track team competed in the World Trophies Invitational last weekend. Anaya Wilson ’26 broke the 30 ft mark for the first time, setting a new school record in the shot put with a final throw of 30 ft 4.24 in. Autumn Allen ’27 placed second in the 55m and second in the Long Jump. Anaya, Astrid Smagula ’26, Autumn, Lia Serre-Tovar ’27, and Zoey Frank ’26 all earned PR's in their events. The boys competed in the afternoon. Sam Bohlen ’27, Christian Panagos ’29, Henry Dayian ’29, and Shawn Badre ’27 earned PR's in their events
Squash captured their second and third wins of the season over the last week versus Pomfret and St. George's. The team has a brief break from match play and will face Portsmouth Abbey on Jan. 26.
Wrestling traveled to Eagle Hill on Wednesday afternoon and battled hard in a tough loss. Despite the result, there is tremendous energy and momentum within the program, which has doubled in size from last season. Head Coach Pierson Shaw shared, “The team has come a long way in a short amount of time, and we continue to build forward and hope to make noise in the EIL Championship this February.” Next up, the Warriors travel to Concord Academy for a match this Friday.
Boys Basketball defeated Worcester Academy on Wednesday night, 67-46. The Warriors were led by Isaiah Borak-Webb ’27, who knocked down six three-pointers, and Des Martin ’27, who scored 11 points. The Warriors host Rocky Hill Country Day on Friday at 5:30pm at Madden. JV Boys will tip-off at 4pm as part of the Friday Night Lights double-header.
Girls Basketball traveled to Newton Country Day last Friday and won 49-29, pushing its EIL mark to 3-1 on the season. The Warriors returned home and narrowly lost to Class B power Pomfret on Wednesday night in a non-league affair, 47-45. The Warriors were led by Daniell Davidson 30’s 14 points and eight rebounds and Isabela Tineo 27’s 13 points and 10 rebounds. The squad returns to the game play after the exam break.
