Girls and Boys Basketball started their seasons with victories on Wednesday night. The boys opened the double-header with a 50-40 win behind double-digit scoring efforts by King Tiah ’27 and Drew Herren ’28, as well as a tremendous second half by Max Ramos ’27. In the nightcap, a balanced scoring effort from Danielle Davidson ’30, Sajhara Ramirez ’27, Isabela Tineo ’27, and Ashna Jayaraman ’29, propelled the Warriors to a 61-47 win over Bancroft. The boys travel to Williams School on Friday for their next contest, and the girls travel to Milton Academy on Sunday to take on Phillips Exeter in the NERR Girls High School Showcase.
Wrestling returned to action with their second meet of the year at Lexington Christian Academy, where they took on the Lions, along with Buckingham, Browne, and Nichols. The Warriors fell 36-33 to LCA and 48-13 to BB&N. Charlotte Marr ’27 made history in the afternoon with the first pin by a Wheeler female in school history. The team’s next match is at Concord Academy on Monday.
Squash opens its season against Concord Academy on Friday at Agawam. The match starts at 4pm, so mark your calendar and come support your Warriors!
The Swim team hits the water for their opener on Wednesday, Dec. 10, when they travel to Austin Prep for a dual meet.
