Boys Soccer captured the EIL Tournament Championship on Saturday afternoon with a 4-1 win against Berwick Academy. The title marks the Warriors’ first league title in Boys Soccer since 2018. As a result, the team earned the 2 seed in the NEPSAC Class C Tournament and hosted the quarterfinal round against St. Andrew’s on Wednesday night. The team quickly went into a 0-2 deficit, but recovered quickly, knotting the game at 2 before the half and then adding another 4 unanswered goals against the Saints during the second half. Advancing to the semifinal round this Saturday (1pm at Wheeler Farm), the Warriors will see a rematch of the EIL Championship as they face Berwick. The Bulldogs and Warriors have split their two matchups so far this fall.
Cross Country hosted the NEPSTA Division III Championships last weekend at Highland Park in Attleboro - a course regularly used by Brown University and Providence College for collegiate meets. It was a wonderful afternoon for the Warriors, particularly the boys' team, who finished in 2nd place at the event! Check out this post to see what Warriors placed. Field Hockey earned the school’s first-ever NEPSAC Tournament bid over the weekend as it garnered the 7 seed in the Class C Tournament. The Warriors, who were longtime members of the RIIL, transitioned to the NEPSAC in 2021 and have been gaining momentum under the leadership of Coach Michael Frost and a special group of seniors. The team traveled to the King School on Wednesday to face a talented and deep second-seeded Vikings squad. The group held tough and went into the 4th quarter down 1-0, but eventually fell 4-0. Great season, Warriors!
Wednesday, November 19th, is the Fall US Sports Banquet. The event will take place from 6-7:15 in the Isenberg Auditorium and will include refreshments at 5:30pm. All student-athletes from the fall are welcome and encouraged to attend.
