Playoff Bound Warriors

The Rhode Island Interscholastic League Playoffs begin this Friday and many of our Upper School athletic teams will be in action. Check out the previews below and come support YOUR Wheeler Warriors!

Swimming
Boys and Girls Swimming will cap their two-year stint in the RIIL´s Division I and close out the 2019-2020 winter sports season with the State Championship Meet at Brown University Saturday, February 29th. The boys will begin at 10:30 am and the girls at 2:30 pm.

Girls Basketball
With a win in their final regular season contest at East Providence, the Girls Basketball team secured a first round playoff game at home. The Warriors finished 5th in Division I and are slated to take on Smithfield on Friday the 27 at 4:30 pm. 

Boys Basketball 
The Warriors will travel to Tolman on Friday the 28 for a 7 pm tip in the Opening Round of the RIIL Division II Tournament. Boys Basketball, winners of their last five games, finished the regular season at 10-8 (14-9 overall) with seven of those eight losses by 6 points or fewer.    

Ice Hockey
PSW Hockey looks to return to the RIIL Division II Championship again this year and the journey begins Friday, February 28 at the University of Rhode Island´s Boss Arena. They will square off against South Kingstown in game one of the three-game series and the puck drops at 6 pm. Game two is scheduled for Sunday, March 1 at Lynch Arena, 5 pm.
